Terms of Service

Welcome to Famnly ("the App"), a family calendar and planning application operated by Famnly ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Children under 16 may use the App through a child account created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. By creating a child account, the parent or guardian accepts these Terms on the child's behalf and takes responsibility for the child's use of the App.

2. Accounts

You can sign up using email and password, Google, Apple, or Microsoft sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account with anyone outside your household or use another person's account without permission.

3. Family Groups

The App allows you to create and join family groups. As a group creator, you control membership and can invite or remove members. All members of a group can view and interact with shared content including calendar events, grocery lists, tasks, vacation plans, and other group data. You are responsible for ensuring that everyone you invite consents to sharing information within the group.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Famnly offers a free tier with limited features and a premium subscription ("Famnly Pro") with additional features. Subscriptions are available as monthly, yearly, or lifetime plans and are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store via RevenueCat.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device's app store settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies.

We may offer a free trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will begin and you will be charged.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
• Upload content that is harmful, offensive, or violates the rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its servers, or other users' accounts
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's operation
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App

6. Third-Party Integrations

The App integrates with third-party services including Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, and Google Maps. When you connect these services, you authorize us to access and sync your calendar data as described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies.

7. AI-Powered Features

The App offers AI-powered features such as meal plan generation and grocery list sorting. AI-generated content is provided for convenience and may not always be accurate. We do not guarantee the nutritional accuracy, safety, or suitability of AI-generated meal plans or suggestions. Always use your own judgement, especially regarding dietary needs and food allergies.

8. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create in the App (events, lists, images, comments, etc.). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service to you and your family group members.

9. Availability and Changes

We strive to keep the App available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Famnly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to missed events, lost data, or reliance on AI-generated content.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
